Canine distemper, also known as distemper, is a highly contagious viral disease of dogs that occurs worldwide. It is transmitted through contaminated nasal or eye discharge, contaminated faeces, urine or saliva.
 
Distemper symptoms
Fever, nasal and eye discharge, no appetite. After this, vomiting and diarrhea can occur, the dog can cough or become short of breath and show nerve symptoms. Sometimes only nerve symptoms are visible, without any previous medical history. Hardening of the soles of the feet and the nose can also occur.
 
This disease is often fatal. Puppies aged 3 to 6 months are most sensitive, but adults can also get Canine Distemper.
